A documentary filmmaker investigates several apparently unrelated paranormal incidents. The deeper he digs, the more connections he finds, until the entire investigation begins pointing toward something extremely unhappy about being disturbed. It is not a traditional horror movie. It feels like somebody assembled evidence after something terrible happened and forgot to remove the parts that weren't meant for public consumption. ᴍʏ ᴛʜᴏᴜɢʜᴛꜱ: This is one of the strongest examples of found footage I have watched where it actually uses the documentary format as horror. The little details matter more than the big scares. Interviews, television appearances, old recordings and "irrelevant" footage slowly become pieces of the enormous nightmare. It has that wonderful feeling of watching something you don't completely understand, while realizing the filmmaker understands even less.
